An award winner in Ouagadougou in 2005, in Mar del Plata in 2006, and again at the Festival International du Film d’Amour de Mons in 2005, this film takes place in Johannesburg during the euphoria that was still felt two years after the first democratic elections in South Africa. Thandeka, a young Black female journalist who is haunted by the past, is sought out by an old woman who asks her testify as a witness of an assassination that took place ten years prior.
