The competitions of short and feature films are the centrepiece of the FIFF programme. Our selection criteria are simple. Feature films must be from Africa, Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe. As for short films, the filmmakers must come from a country that is eligible for OECD official development assistance. When it comes to the crunch, our choices are made from the heart not the head.
The 39th edition of Fribourg International Film Festival will take place from 21st to 30th March 2025. The full programme will be unveiled on Wednesday 5th March 2025. You can already prepare your participation to the Festival.
