From the top of their run-down apartment block, a family watches as the small zoo across the road takes delivery of a hippo. While they fight for their survival amid a severe food shortage, the animal continues to eat its fill. Mariana Rondón returns to FIFF with a dystopian tale in which humans seem beyond saving.
