
The growing problem of abandoned babies in Malaysia is the subject of this moving film. Lai Sum is a social worker employed at a baby hatch, where she meets a young woman who is considering terminating her pregnancy. This documentary-style feature, which was in competition at Tokyo, is also a story of women's struggles to overcome patriarchal norms.
