Among the numerous Mongolian films devoted to Genghis Khan, we have chosen this epic, beautifully lyrical western, one of the few to have been distributed internationally. Genghis Khan would take in all the children orphaned by his conquests and turn them into loyal soldiers. Except, this time, the baby wasn't really an orphan: he belonged to an enemy lord.
