Lime and Butterflies: The 33rd edition of the Fribourg International Film Festival promises to be refreshing as an exotic cocktail, with the convivial delicacy that makes the mark of the Festival and what is needed of acidity in the discoveries it already promises. Notably since the recent announcement of its first section, New Territory, which will take spectators to three Caribbean islands (Dominican Republic, Haiti and Puerto Rico). More popular than ever, the FIFF is not a festival of lukewarmness and the lowest common denominator: the 2019 poster, designed once again by the Fribourg-based design agency Asphalte Design, combines the gouleyant and the passionate. And no doubt that his butterflies will provoke storms of emotion, by their flapping wings, in other words the films from the four corners of the world that the team is finding. These butterflies will take all their meaning at the next announcement of the other sections. From 15th to 23rd March 2019, a punchy edition awaits festival-goers!
