BUYING TICKETS AND BOOKING SEATS
How do I buy tickets online?
- Go to the Festival programme on the FIFF website, select your preferred screening and click on “add to cart”.
- Select the number of tickets you want per tarif then click on "Confirm" in order to add those tickets in your shopping cart.
- The "Your order" page will inform you about the booking process. You can continue browsing the programme and add tickets for other screenings, or you can access your virtual shopping cart and proceed to payment.
- From the list of tickets in your cart, you can add for tickets for a screening.
- Before proceed to payment, you will have to fill in a contact form so we can send you your tickets.
- Complete each step of the order process. At the end of this process, an order confirmation message will appear on your screen.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, Postcard, Postfinance and TWINT.
You can download your tickets from the confirmation page or from the confirmation e-mail you will receive.
You can set up an account with the same e-mail address to view your ticket purchases in your online FIFF account.
How do I book seats if I have a Festival pass, an accreditation, a 5-entries pass or a Daily pass?
You must book a seat prior to each screening. No booking means no admission.
You will need to enter your TicketID to book your seats. You will find the ID on your pass.
- Go to the Festival programme on the FIFF website, select your preferred screening and click "add to cart".
- On the booking page, open the "Book with TicketID" tab. You can add your TicketID. In addition, you need to select the passes or card you want to use (the rectangle is black when selected). You can select an already registered pass or card.
It is possible to add and select several TicketID .
- Click on "Confirm" to validate your booking(s)
The "Your reservation" page will inform if the reservation process was correctly completed.
Before you enter your chosen screening, you will be asked to show the QR code on your pass to FIFF staff.
You can view your seat bookings in your online FIFF account (registration required)
I have an invitation. How do I book my seat?
You will need to enter your TicketID to book your seats. You will find the ID on your invitation.
You must book a seat prior to each screening. No booking means no admission.

- On the booking page, open the "Book with TicketID" tab. You can add your TicketID. In addition, you need to select the passes or card you want to use (the rectangle is black when selected). You can select an already registered pass or card.

Can I access all screenings and events of the Festival with the Festival Pass?
The Festival Pass gives access to every screening including the closing ceremony and the closing film (it requires 2 bookings). The access to the opening film of FIFF requires the purchase of a separate ticket.
It is mandatory to book a seat for each screening.
I have booked seats using my Festival pass/accreditation pass/5-entries card/daily pass/invitation, but I haven't received my tickets. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal because our ticketing system does not issue your tickets as electronic files if you book them with one of the above passes/invitations. . The system generates a code for each booking made using your TicketID and stores on it on your pass/invitation.
Because your bookings are linked to this TicketID, all you need to do is show the QR code on your pass/invitation to FIFF staff before entering the screening.
You can view your seat bookings in your online FIFF account (registration required).
When will the FIFF ticket offices open?
The Festival ticket offices will not open until Monday 10th March.
- A ticket office will open in the main atrium of the Fribourg Centre shopping mall. It will open on Monday 10th March and will remain open during the centre's normal business hours for the duration of the Festival. Please note that on Saturday 15th March, the centre will close at 16:00.
- The FIFF ticket offices in the ARENA and Rex cinemas will open on Friday 21st March and will remain open for the duration of the Festival.
- There is no ticket office at the Festival offices at Nouveau Monde.
Can I buy multiple tickets at different prices for the same screening?
Yes. If you are buying tickets for several people and some are eligible for a discount, simply select the admission price that applies.
Holders of a discounted ticket will be required to show proof of eligibility before entering each screening. Please remind them to bring proof with them to the screening.
Are there discounted tickets and who is eligible?
FIFF offers several types of discounted ticket. Go to the FIFF online programme where you will find a price list under each screening.
Important: If you have a discounted ticket, you will be asked to show proof of eligibility before entering the screening. If you have purchased multiple tickets, including discounted tickets, please remember, or remind the person concerned, to bring proof of eligibility to the screening.
Can I exchange or get a refund on my ticket?
Tickets cannot be returned or exchanged, unless the event is cancelled.
I would require someone to help me with my bookings. Does FIFF offer personal help?
A ticket office will be open as of 10th March in the main atrium of Fribourg Centre shopping mall.
You can call 026 347 42 01 as well. Before the Festival, we answer your calls from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 12:00 and between 14:00 and 17:00. During the Festival, from 21st to 30th March, we answer your calls between 9:00 and 12:00 and between 13:00 and 19:00.
ONLINE ACCOUNT AND BOOKINGS
What is the use of the online account?
The online account of FIFF gives you access to your ticket purchases, your bookings and the films and screenings saved in your favorites.
People using a pass, an accreditation, an invitation, a 5-entries card or a daily pass, will find in the online account the QR code of one’s ticket in order to show it at the ticket checks.
How can I access my online account?
Computer: On FIFF’s website, you access your account by clicking on the “log in” icon situated at the top right of each page.
Mobile phone : On FIFF’s website, you access your account by clicking first on the three lines situated in the header in order to show the menu. At the bottom of the menu, click on the icon “log in”.
Where can I find my bookings?
In case you use an online account, you will find there all the seats you booked using the same e-mail address as the one of your account. The bookings are to be found on the “my tickets” page.
In case you do not use an online account, you can use the “login with TicketID” module. By entering your TicketID number and code, you will see and be able to manage all bookings linked to that TicketID.
Is it neccessary to set up an online account in order to find one’s bookings?
At the end of an online purchase, your tickets or passes are sent to you by e-mail. The online account gathers all the tickets that you purchased or booked using the same e-mail address.
Setting up an online account will make it easy to find the bookings made with passes, accreditations, invitations, 5-entries cards and daily passes.
It is also possible to login with a TicketID to check the bookings linked to that TicketID.
I set up an account in 2021 or 2022. Can I still use it?
Yes. In case you set up an account in July 2021 or March 2022, you can log in with that one.
A “forgot password” form is available in case you have indeed forgotten your password.
PAYMENT
What payment methods can I use?
The FIFF online ticketing service supports the following payment methods:

What payment methods do the FIFF ticket offices accept?
Our ticket offices will not accept cash. However, you can pay with the following:
• Maestro Card
• V-Pay Card
• Visa Card
• Mastercard
• Postcard
• TWINT
I don't have a credit card. How can I pay for my tickets online?
• Postcard or Postfinance (for Postfinance customers)
• Twint is also possible
• Maestro or V-Pay Card
• FIFF ticket offices will not be accepting cash.
Is it possible to book tickets online and then pay for them at a ticket office?
No.
SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
FIFF does not use numbered seating anymore in 2025. There is no seat number. You are consequently free to choose your seat at each screening.
TICKET CHECKS
Do I have to print out my tickets/pass and are there ticket checks?
If you use a smartphone, there is no need to print out your tickets, Festival pass, 5-entries Pass or Daily Pass. With the booking page open, show your smartphone to FIFF staff so that they scan the QR code.
I have a discounted ticket. Do I need to show proof of eligibility?
Yes, regardless of the discount you have received, you will be asked to show proof of eligibility before each screening.

The following proof of eligibility must be presented to staff before entering the screening: members or Friends of the Festival Association, OASI/DI card, apprentices, students, unemployed, member of the Kino Rex Bern, holders of the Pathé Pass. - CarteCulture
You will be asked to show your CarteCulture card. - BCF Maestro card holders
You will be asked to show your BCF Maestro card before entering the screening. - TPF (Frimobil)
You will be asked to show your Swisspass and the Frimobil email with the discount offers before entering the screening.
Is there free seating?
Yes. There is no numbered seating. You are consequently free to choose your seat at each screening.
SPECIAL TICKETS AND OFFERS
Tickets and passes give access to some special offers. What are those offers?
Receive entries to museums, discount at Urbanspa, discount on food and drinks in specific bars and restaurants in Fribourg with your FIFF ticket or pass. Please visit the “Advantages” page of our website to discover the special offers of FIFF 2025.
