Everest: The Summit of the Gods

Back to listing

Nepal, Japan-style, based on a manga by Jirô Taniguchi. Makato finds an old camera that might hold the key to solving a huge mystery: was George Mallory really the first person to reach the summit of Everest on June 8th, 1924? Of the recent wave of foreign productions filmed in Nepal, this film is the first to be partially shot at the base camp, at an altitude of 5,364 metres.
