Blue Velvet

As Jeffrey (Kyle McLachlan) finds out to his own cost, finding a severed ear in a field can lead to the discovery of a murky and dangerous underworld. But it is not in some far-flung place, but in our own backyards. The film catapulted David Lynch into the collective consciousness and is one of the films in the Sur la carte section, which this year is curated by Étienne Daho.
