
In 1980, a popular uprising ignites in Gwangju, South Korea, against Chun Doo-hwan’s dictatorship. With the help of an oblivious taxi driver, a German journalist tries to cross the military barricades of an army prepared to suppress any democratic movement. 12 million South Koreans (a fifth of the population) rushed to see this adaptation of a true story.
