At the end of the Second World War, former officer Touko Laaksonen intends to fully embrace his homosexuality in spite of the persecution gay people are suffering in and around Helsinki. He takes refuge in art, drawing muscular, uninhibited men. This fictionalised account of the life of a global legend of underground culture was selected for the Edinburgh, Göteborg, Palm Springs and Tribeca festivals.
