Thirty years have passed since Djibril Diop Mambéty's The Visit was in competition at Cannes. To mark this milestone, FIFF will screen the Senegalese director's brilliant film adaptation of the famous play by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, restored to its former glory by the film's Swiss producer Pierre-Alain Meier. Several other events to celebrate this milestone anniversary will take place on the same day.
