The only contact between Amira, a 17-year-old Palestinian girl, and her father is during visiting time at an Israeli prison. Growing up, she was told that she had been conceived from Nawar's smuggled sperm. But he is sterile… The film, which won an award at the 2021 Mostra di Venezia, is an unflinching portrait of clandestine IVF and the harsh reality of Israeli jails. It left the Palestinian audience sharply divided.
