
Grand Prix at the 1990 Festival de Cannes, this masterpiece of Burkina Faso cinema is set in the pre-colonial era. Saga returns to his village after two years of absence and discovers that his father has taken his bride-to-be, Nogma. Saga and Nogma still love each other and they take the risk to live their love, even though it is now considered to be incest.
