Diouana, a young Senegalese nanny, goes along with her French employers to their fair city of Antibes. The pleasure of discovering this new world quickly turns to disappointment, not to say depression: loneliness, disrespect from her employers, prevailing racism, incessant household duties... Black Girl (La Noire de…), Prix Jean Vigo 1966, is the very first feature film directed by a filmmaker from Sub-Saharan Africa.
