Her mother seems to be the only one who cares, her husband and his team preferring to worry about getting votes. The Truth Beneath gained its director the distinction of Best South Korean Filmmaker 2016 from the Korean Association of Film Critics. The lead actress, Son Ye-jin, also won a prize.
