This psychedelic thriller went virtually unseen when it was released, but the prophetic film has all the hallmarks of a classic. It was directed by John Frankenheimer, with cinematography by James Wong Howe, design by Saul Bass, and music by Jerry Goldsmith. One of the craziest films ever cooked up in Hollywood: the nightmare of a man (Rock Hudson) who is given a new face and a new identity. Diabolical.
