FIFF is honoured to host the European premiere of the latest film by Sébastien Pilote, a friend of the Festival and director of Le Démantèlement (2013). The fourth adaptation of Louis Hémon's novel of the same name, Maria Chapdelaine is set in 1910 and tells the story of a young woman living in a remote and rugged part of Quebec who has to choose between three suitors.
