Fribourg International Film Festival invites the audience to pick the films of a section. From 19th October to 6th November, members of the audience can vote for their favourite five films from a list of fifty. This year fifty culinary films are up for the vote.
Will you have some more Meatballs? What should I serve you, The Wing or The Thigh? And with that, some Ratatouille? Would you fancy a Chocolat with your coffee? There are indeed numerous films dedicated to cooking. Be it for documentaries or for fictions, camera often entered kitchen around the world, those of great chefs as well as those of average women and men. Although FIFF’s menu is huge with a fifty films preselection, only five of them will make it to the section Genre Cinema: Audience Choice.
For the third time, FIFF invites the audience to vote for their five favourite films. The vote is open from 19th October to 6th November:
The five films which receive the most votes will be shown at the Festival. In addition, volunteers from the voting public will join the FIFF team and present each movie prior to their screening. The programme of the Genre Cinema (II): Audience Choice section, which launched in 2021, is not only curated by the largest artistic committee any film festival has ever had but it is also a necessary complement to the main Genre Cinema (I) section, which will be given over to culinary films.
