The supervisor in a shoe factory manages to convince the army to hold manoeuvres nearby so his female workers can meet the men at a dance. But the pot-bellied reservists prove less than appealing... Taking advantage of a brief wave of artistic freedom, The Loves of a Blonde takes a blunt, tender, humurous look at 1960s Czechoslovakia and ridicules its authority figures.
