Factory-owner Castella’s dull existence is turned up- side down when a stranger enters the picture. Gradually, the daily lives of the people around him begin to intersect. The film by the talented duo of Bacri-Jaoui, which won four César and was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars, paints a bittersweet picture of the clannish mind- set that persists across all social classes.
