JORGE COHEN, Angola
Jorge Cohen is one of Angola’s leading film producers and the co-founder of the independent Geração 80 collective. Ar Condicionado (Air Conditioner, 2020), directed by Fradique and produced by the collective, features in the New Territory: Angola line-up.
ELINA DUNI, Albania, Switzerland
Elina Duni is a Swiss-Albanian jazz singer and composer. She has lived in Switzerland since 1992 and studied singing, composition and music education at Bern University of the Arts (HKB). In 2007, she won the first of several European awards. Her latest album Lost Ships was released in November 2020.
SAHRA MANI, Afghanistan
Sahra Mani is a film director and producer from Afghanistan, but who now lives in exile in Europe. Her film A Thousand Girls Like Me (2018) will be screened as part of the Hommage à: Afghan cinema. At the heart of her films is Afghan women’s fight for freedom.
GIONA A. NAZZARO, Italy, Switzerland
Giona A. Nazzaro is the Artistic Director of the Locarno Film Festival. Previously, he was the General Delegate of the International Film Critics’ Week at the Venice Film Festival, and programmer for film festivals like Visions du Réel (Nyon, Switzerland) and IFFR (Netherlands).
International Jury: Short Films
FISNIK MAXVILLE, Kosovo, Switzerland
Director and producer Fisnik Maxville was born in Kosovo in 1992 and emigrated to Switzerland the following year. The Diaspora section includes his short film Lost Exile (special mention at Locarno Festival 2016) and his documentary feature Fin de Partie, portrait of football trainer Bernard Challandes (2020).
ANNE,FRÉDÉRIQUE WIDMANN, Switzerland
Anne-Frédérique Widmann is an investigative journalist, producer and documentary maker. As well as her work for the Swiss TV magazines Mise au Point and Temps Présent, she, together with the illustrator Chappatte created an online webseries for the New York Times. She joined the FIFDH Foundation Board in 2018.
NADJA ZELA, Switzerland
Nadja Zela is a vital force on the Swiss independent rock scene and is the founding member of the all-female bands The Whooshings and Rosebud. She has won multiple awards over her career, including the city of Zurich’s Werkjahr. Today, she works primarily as a music producer for film and theatre.

The filmmakers and producers from Angola invited for the New Territory section.
Prix Röstigraben
The Schweizer Jugendfilmtage (SJFT) and the FIFF have joined forces to offer an award for Swiss film-school students. Young filmmakers whose filmis selected at the FIFF judge the work of their peers selected at the SJFT, and vice versa. The two winning films receive prize money of CHF 500 each. The aim is to promote cooperation and closer ties between young filmmakers working on either side of the “Röstigraben”, the invisible border between French- and German-speaking Switzerland.
