eikonbiblio is a project by students at the Fribourg Vocational School for Applied Arts (eikon) that takes a deep dive into the world of photo books. FIFF will host an exhibition of some of the students’ recent works. The photo books are far from a collection of static images. Rather each offers a visual narrative that is more akin to conventional cinematic storytelling. For the FIFF audience, a visit to the exhibition is an engaging and entertaining way to spend the break between films.

Anti-racism week 2025
Since 2012 the canton of Fribourg and its partners have organ-ised an anti-racism action week, which is usually around the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21th March. This year’s action week focuses on the feelings of insecurity that racism triggers in the people who experience it. Some 30 events will be held over the week, including performances by various artists; a theatre forum; guided tours; a con-ference and panel discussion; listening and sharing spaces; workshops; and youth activities. All are free and open to the public.
Put your detective skills to the test with the Fort Boyard-inspired challenge at FunHouse in Fribourg, the latest escape room from the HouseTrap team. Created by the software developer gameside, the House of Action challenge requires mental and physical agility, coupled with good teamwork and razor-sharp critical thinking. Following on from the success of its escape rooms in Bulle and Payerne, the HouseTrap team is set to open a FunHouse in Fribourg. What’s stopping you? Become the hero of your own immersive, high-octane adventure now!

A call for proposals launched by the Fribourg Office of Cultural Affairs and the Fribourg Cantonal Police culminated in a group exhibition organised by the PPAF, a local professional and fine-art photography association. The collection of photos, some documentary in style, others more artistic, offers a glimpse into the routine work of the police, captures the breadth of their operations, and shows the women and men who serve their community in a different light. To coincide with FIFF, the public can sign up for a guided tour of the exhibition at the cantonal police headquarters in Granges-Paccot (on either 22nd or 26th March 2025).
