The film is about a day in the life of Mookie, a young Afro-American who delivers pizzas for the Italo-American Sal and his two sons. However, the day in question is the hot- test of the year in Brooklyn. Nerves are frayed and racial tensions are reaching the boiling point. This is the third feature from Spike Lee and was shot entirely onsite during 1988.
