
Northern Nepal, 2001. Prakash and Kiran are two inseparable young friends, in spite of their different castes. They raise a chicken to earn some money by selling eggs. But the bird disappears during the period of a fragile ceasefire. The Black Hen took home the prize for Best Film in the Critics’ Week at the 2015 Mostra di Venezia and was also screened at the FIFF in the International Competition last year. RKP
