Set in the town of Bitola at the turn of the XXth century, right before the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the film tells the story of a family doing its best to survive the occupation. Balkan Is Not Dead is a witty and poetic exploration of an important chapter in the history of North Macedonia and chronicles the end of an era.
