The first film made by Dominican director Alejandro Andújar, the thriller El hombre que cuida (The Watchman) plunges us into the torments of Juan, a former fisherman. Left by his unfaithful wife, he takes on a new job as watchman of a luxurious seaside villa which is frequently uninhabited. His routine life is turned upside down the day that the owner’s son shows up to party with some local girls.
