FIFF press conference is postponed to 11th March
FIFF is awaiting clarification from the authorities regarding the maintenance of events with large numbers of people.
As a result, the Festival is moving the date of its press conference and programme announcement scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, 4th March 2020, to Wednesday, 11th March 2020 at 10.15 am at the Safe Gallery BCF (Boulevard de Pérolles 1, Fribourg).
Our top priority is of course the safety of our audience, guests and staff. In view of the situation, we are studying all possible alternatives. Until further notice, the 34th edition of the FIFF (20th to 28th March 2020) will go ahead as planned.
However, in view of the restrictions on cinema attendance in Bern, FIFF is cancelling its Avant-première screening scheduled for Thursday, 12th March 2020 at the Kino REX.
We will, of course, keep you updated as soon as new information becomes available.
Announcement 28th February
Following the Federal Council announcement this morning (Friday, 28th January 2020), we can confirm that, for the time being, FIFF 2020 will go ahead as planned. However, this may be subject to change. The safety of our audience, guests and staff is paramount, so we will continue to liaise closely with the relevant cantonal authorities and follow all recommendations issued by the Federal Office of Public Health. We will, of course, keep you updated as soon as new information becomes available.
