The spy film of the year is neither a 007, nor a Mission: Impossible. It’s The Spy Gone North! All the relevance of South Korean cinema explodes in this true story about Park Chae-seo, a secret agent in the 1990s who succeeded in infiltrating North Korea under the pretext of shooting promotional films. His aim, in synchrony with current events in 2019, was to observe Pyongyang’s nuclear activities.
