Nominated for a Golden Lion in 1950, Rosauro Castro takes its name from the central character, the local despot who is quickly suspected of murdering a candidate running for mayor. However, when his son is killed in a shoot-out, Rosauro is hell bent on exacting his revenge. A rare, dark western whose film negative was destroyed in a fire in the 1980s.
