King Solomon's Mines

Back to listing

According to all available sources, this is the first film ever shot in Rwanda. Imagine what filming must have been like back then in 1950: Deborah Kerr, Stewart Granger and the cream of Hollywood in the land of a thousand hills, with no real infrastructure and relying on prevailing stereotypes to tell the story of a woman who travels to the heart of Africa in search of her husband.

Mu mateka y’u Rwanda arebana no gukora sinema, iyi niyo filime ya mbere yahakorewe mu w’i 1950 ! Nta yindi yongeye gukorwa kugeza muri 2001 !
