The Dying of the Light

Back to listing

American professor and cinephile Peter Flynn felt the need to immortalise the technical turning point the world of cinema has been going through for the past ten years. With humour and sadness, this documentary celebrates projectionists who have seen their expertise rendered redundant by digital technology replacing celluloid. An ode to a disappearing profession and the magic of cinema.
