Donnie Darko

Back to listing

Sometime in the 1980s, a giant scary rabbit – the imaginary friend of a troubled teen – announces that the end of the world is coming in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. Although the film flopped when first released, the originality of this unsettling debut feature by screenplay writer and director Richard Kelly has since propelled it to cult status.

Two persons who took part in the vote to choose the films of this section will introduce the movie.
