Swiss artists have often beeń led to reflect on the link between the local and the universal, adding to the idea that the economic and cultural conflicts of this world seem to be reflected in the history of their country. But conversely, from a postcolonial perspective, can't artists from non-Western countries recognize themselves in the history of Switzerland, as particular as it seems? In order to discuss how the Swiss and African contexts can resonate, in a game of crossings and mirrors, let us reflect on the dialogue between the Swiss playwright Friedrich Dürrenmatt and the Senegalese filmmaker Djibril Diop Mambéty.
