
1990, Oka, Canada. When a violent dispute breaks out between the First Nations people and the Canadian government, Beans, a 13-year-old Mohawk girl, grows up fast when she joins the fight to protect her community. The film, based on a real-life event and winner of a Silver Bear at Berlinale 2021, is also a coming-of-age story in which loyalty, family bonds and confidence are the ultimate superpowers.
On Sunday 20th March at 15:45, the presentation before the film will be interpreted in French sign language.
