The idea behind this programme is simple: students from five Swiss film schools submit their short films and a judging panel comprising filmmakers from the New Territory section choose the winner. The programme reflects FIFF’s commitment to promoting and nurturing the next generation of Swiss filmmakers. The Prix Röstigraben, which is awarded jointly by FIFF and the Zurich-based Schweizer Jugendfilmtage, builds on this commitment.
