Carlos Reygadas is second in the total number of votes, behind the great Luis Buñuel. Winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes in 2007, Silent Light, which was one of four Reygadas films to make the shortlist, tells the story of a member of the Mennonite community who flouts divine and man-made law by embarking on an extra-marital affair. This hypnotic parable on the mysteries of life is, in and of itself, a state of grace.

Éstos se reparten entre cuatro películas nombradas, entre las que figura Luz silenciosa, ganadora del Premio del jurado en Cannes en 2007. El filme cuenta la historia de un hombre casado y adepto de una comunidad menonita que, en contra de la ley de Dios y de los humanos, se enamora de otra mujer. Luz silenciosa es una hipnótica parábola sobre los misterios de la vida y la gracia divina.
