Opening film: Umami
Dumped by his wife and recovering from a heart attack, a renowned French chef (Gérard Depardieu) decides to heed the advice of an old friend (Pierre Richard), and sets off for Japan on a mission to uncover the secret of umami, the fifth taste (after sweet, sour, bitter and salty). A deeply delicious and deeply human comedy.
