On 17 July 2014, a Malaysian Airlines flight was shot down, crashing into the village of Hrabove, not far from Donetsk. When Russian troops take over the village, Tolik wants to flee to unoccupied Ukrainian territory but Irka, his heavily pregnant wife, is determined to stay put. A heartrending, bleak portrait of the tensions blighting eastern Ukraine.
