England, the late 19th century: a governess, Miss Giddens, is hired to look after two children who live alone in an imposing mansion with their nanny, Miss Grose. Miss Giddens soon starts to notice some unusual behaviour displayed by the children… With a screenplay written by William Archibald and Truman Capote, could this be the most poetic ghost film ever made?
