Screened as part of the official programmes of Chicago and Hamburg, this debut feature film by Joel Karekezi is a new, extended version of his successful short film The Pardon. It tells a bleak story: Manzi is freed at the end of his 15-year sentence for his part in the Rwandan genocide. His former best friend is determined that Manzi pay the full price for his crimes.
