The competitions of short and feature films are the centrepiece of the FIFF programme. Our selection criteria are simple. Feature films must be from Africa, Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe. As for short films, the filmmakers must come from a country that is eligible for OECD official development assistance. When it comes to the crunch, our choices are made from the heart not the head.
The 36th edition of Fribourg International Film Festival will take place from 18th to 27th March 2022. The next edition will take place from 17th to 26th March 2023.
