The 2008 Summer Olympics are underway in Beijing when Lang is released from prison. He returns to his hometown where he starts working with a dog patrol tasked with clearing strays from the streets. Winner of the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes 2024, Black Dog is a superb tale of the unbreakable bond between human beings and their four-legged friends.
