Following his committed work as a producer promoting African cinema and some of its major titles (Yaaba, Laafi, Hyènes), Pierre-Alain Meier, from the Jura in western Switzerland, goes behind the camera to confront his own journey and demons. He went to Senegal to investigate the death of a European woman who was found on a beach in 2009, the only white person amongst the bodies of many black migrants.
