This post-apocalyptic tale, which won the Audience Award at Vancouver 2024, is set against the backdrop of a new American Civil War. An African American family, descended from farmers who had settled in Canada after the first Civil War, join forces with the local Black and First Nations communities to defend their farm against cannibals. A ferocious debut feature with echoes of Trump's return.
