This adaptation of Boileau-Narcejac's novel, which was not well-received on its release in 1958, is still a visual masterpiece thanks to the masterful use of colour. Shot in VistaVision and Technicolor, this psychological thriller is one of the best films ever made thanks to its lush aesthetics, dark plot and compelling performances by Kim Novak and James Stewart.
