Romeo and Juliet, Angola style. She is 18 and the eldest child of a humble peasant family who proudly observe their Kwanhama traditions. Her 21-year-old paramour is from peasant stock too, but from the Bakongo people. The star-crossed lovers flee to another village where they hope to live happily ever after. But their decision could have painful consequences.
