The only thing that separates the villages of Vadul Rașkov and Rașkov is the Dniestr river, which is now also the border between the Republic of Moldova and Transnistria. The absurd political power games at play in the region make life difficult for the villagers but, against all odds, they still manage to communicate with one another across the river.
