This lavish historical drama was the surprise smash hit in South Korea over Christmas, crushing everything in its path, including big-budget Disney productions (Moana 2, Mufasa). Set in 1909 in Harbin, the film recounts the exploits of Ahn Jung-geun (1879–1910), a Korean independence activist who fought against Japanese annexation.
