Evelyn is a housewife living in a remote corner of Alabama. She finds a new lease on life thanks to Ninny, a bubbly octogenarian who tells her a 60-year-old story about two women who, united by an unbreakable friendship and a shared love of Southern cooking, exact their revenge on a violent man.
